Think wish.com with 100% added and you have much of amazon. Or most likely alibaba.

Yes. I just try to be careful with fakes when buying from third party retailers on there.
Yep, I got bit by that. If you're buying something name brand always make sure it's fulfilled by Amazon and not a third party seller. That goes for more than just gun stuff, too. Fortunately Amazon is great with returns.

If y’all like Talon grips, can get them cheaper on Amazon than directly from Talon grips AND get them with free 2-day or next day shipping with Amazon Prime.

Dillon stuff is usually cheaper on Amazon too, with free shipping and it ships much faster than when ordered from Dillon.

Wow! Amazon is getting lax as hell on stuff like this. Used to trust purchases there, will be on the lookout now.
Amazon themselves is still reliable. The thing to look for is if the manufacturer is listed in the "by" section (clicking that will take you to the manufacturer's Amazon page), and also that it is actually sold by Amazon and not a third party. Only exception is when a third party seller is really well known.

I have ordered some accessories from Amazon. Sling mounts, slings, a scope, a couple of red dot sights, laser trainer cartridges, dry fire rounds, targets, Uplulas.
