If so, is it worth it? Which caliber do you have? Thinking about getting the rifle and then SBRing it or just getting a braced pistol version

I have the .45 and 9mm SBR. I like them. I don't have any other pistol caliber carbines to compare them to. A Scorpion is cheaper but not as interesting too me. I would like a TPM Outfitters MP5 and/or a
B&T APC 9mm but they cost more.

If you get a vector make sure the bbl is threaded. My 45 was a factory SBR Gen I. It did not come threaded. It took an act of Congress for my dealer, a Kriss dealer, to send it back & have the bbl replaced. The bbl is pressed in. It was easier for them to replace than thread it.

ETA: if you SBR it please don't use the adaptor and an AR stock. Go with the original folding Vector stock.

Thanks for the knowledge. I appreciate it. I might be getting one in the next few months

I have the SDP FDE and had tros turn down the inside of my AAC Tirant Piston to fit the front of the barrel as factory barrels on the Vector doesn’t let the AAC pistons seat all the way down. It was $30 shipped back to me

    I had one.
    .45 carbine
Had an aimpoint CompM3 on it that fit the caliber and intended range and use perfectly.

It was reliable, accurate, the stock pinched my cheek badly.
It was, arguably, the ugliest, coolest and clearly unique of my guns.
Fascinating, clever and bizarre and quirky mechanical design.
It was a toy I simultaneously loved and hated.

As has been mentioned the barrel is not removable nor threadable being press-fitted permanently into the receiver. Don't think about your usual smith threading it!

I liked it for a while.
Was a fascination to my buddies but it just never charmed me.

Traded it and something else for a Christensen bolt .308 that I love.
Talk about apples and oranges, huh?

With that said I am partial to pistol caliber carbines as range toys.

Were I on that market, I'd buy a threaded Kriss pistol, shoulder quasi-legal forearm brace and put a small suppressor on it.

That’s what I was looking for. Thank you

The 10mm and .357 Sig interest me but I doubt I'll buy them. Those calibers would probably perform better out of an SBR but the ammo and rifle cost are holding me back.

I have a ton of fun walking through the woods and shooting stumps with my 9mm and .45.

One more thing I thought of: I have a vertical foregrip on my .45 but not on the 9mm. The grip is the way to go with a SBR. It's ergonomic and it keeps your hand from slipping in front of the barrel during a mag dump.

my 45 had the Kriss factory magazine extension and a Grip-Pod and the tripod arrangement thereby stood up on it's own perfectly.

Dang, now I'm wishing I still had it.
