I got a new front sight for my 1911. It's a stake in? Who in austin can install one?
I was going to say Hank Fleming, but I looked at his price list and $50+ is a bit steep for my blood. No offense to Mr. Fleming, but I am not made of money.
You might give him a call to see if I am reading the price list wrong.
I have also been hearing lately that Fleming's service has been pretty poor as of late, with long wait times too.
If you don't mind making a short trip to Bastrop, John at John's guns has the staking tool and can do it. He is in during the day on Friday and Saturday.
The updated price at hanks is 59.95.
I work near 71 and the bastrop county line. I will be giving John a call.
Thanks for the info on Johns. I'm going to take it by next week.
This is good info for me, I have a GI Springfield that I might want tritium sights on soon enough.
I asked Hank here while back how much to lighten my trigger on my Champ. He said leave it and 100.00 and he would call me when it was finished. Ouch!
I have the tool if you want to do it yourself.
