I'm jonesing for another EBR, and the .450 Bushmaster has my attention.

Hornady loads ammo for it, and they generally make great ammo.

Anyone have any experience with the round?

I've shot it, but not a lot. Just a couple of rounds through one. It blows up water bottles real good.

    DFW area.....Wylie.
I can't contribute anything from first-hand experience. I can say that the guys on my hog hunting forum think it's a very effective round for knocking down pigs.

It and the .50 Beowolf are right in line with the .45/70 as far as power.

I know ammo isn't cheap. Definitely something you would want to reload for. It seems like a good concept though. A whole lot of huge bullets in a compact package, hell yeah.

Reloading is why I, right now, prefer the .450 Bushmaster to the .458 SOCOM. The straight-walled case should last a bit longer and may even be able to get a carbide sizer for it.

    Thanks folks for the info.
