Not as in you are assigned a job from one, but actually work for one...
I am trying to find out a general idea of what a company pays for a temp worker, if the worker gets say $10 an hour, what do you think the company is paying for that help?
    $12, $14? an hour?

I don't know much about normal temp/job placement agencies, but the ones for mariners usually charge a a day or two's pay or a percentage( I believe around 10%) if you're only there for a month. If the company they put you with keeps you, it's a total of two weeks pay. This is from when I looked into it a couple years ago, might be more by now. I would assume it's similar at a normal temp agency.

My dad hires day labor from a temp agency. I don't know what they make, but I am pretty sure if it is minium wage. I think he ends up paying $13-$15 an hour for them. Not sure if that is what you needed.
