Application Question: 5 years residence/employment

Hi all,
I've searched the forum and haven't seen this previously asked.
I've lived in Texas just over three years now (I love Texas!) and am wondering about two items on the application.
1) Provide exactly 5 years of residence history
2) Provide exactly 5 years of employment history.

I'm guessing the residency question is fine to include residence history from before I moved here, correct?

Employment history, I moved here for a job, and had a stretch of unemployment, I'm most interested on how to address this in the application? Does anyone have experience with answering that question that may have had no job for some period in the 5 years prior to filling out the application?

You have to fill in the gaps residence, and employment, if you lived out of town doesn't matter, what ever you were doing or lived, you have to supply information to date.

Being unemployed should not be a factor. Just say unemployed.
Residences is more important for the background check.

Just put down where you've lived and where you've worked for the last 5 years. Simple as that. It isn't a loan application.
