I applied for my Texas LTC today. I must say I was impressed by the computerized application process; it was user friendly, straightforward and mostly self explanatory. I've set up my fingerprint appointment for tomorrow. Since I applied as a retired LEO, the only potential fly in the ointment might be the good guy letter from my former agency. Mine is dated early 2012, shortly after I retired in 2011 and right after I won my battle against stage 4 throat cancer and was finally well enough to apply for a license to carry in NY. It was acceptable for NY and I hope it is acceptable here in light of it being that old. It would be a real pain in the butt trying to get another one since I have been retired 7 years and 10 months and the person responsible for giving me another one would be asking "Glenn who".
