Some of us are only being encouraged to try it by posts like this.
I test-fired it Friday. Primer hits are a little light so after Hicksville I'll send it to the only gunsmith in the country who specializes in that particular pistol. However, it's good to go for April; I expect misfires to be ammo-dependent and not exceed 10%.

Funny thing is, I could only find some 150-grain factory loads for it. Those don't kick all that bad. If fact, it's not as bad as the Smith Sisters. However, unlike The Sisters, it doesn't rise much in recoil. The recoil is straight back. Translation: My right elbow really, really hurts today.

God, I'm getting old. I remember shooting the thing in 40-round matches with much harsher loads and thinking nothing of it. Old man, old joints, new pain - such is the path of discovery in my dotage.

I'll see that he and Ben get introduced.

What size musket caps? I have a bunch of No. 11 and 209 shotgun primers.

The No. 11's are for my Traditions KY Long Rifle kit that I'm building (.50 cal), & the 209's are for my TC in- line .50. I can bring either or both.

What I really need is a source of real black powder in or near Spring.
Goex at Bass Pro if that is close. Ask at the gun counter.
