"The Russian company ORSIS (Latinized syllabic abbreviation for the phrase “Weapon systems”) at the Arms & Hunting 2019 exhibition in Moscow showed the ORSIS-AR15J rifle, which is an analogue of the popular American semi-automatic AR-15...

ORSIS-AR15J is an analogue of the semi-automatic rifle AR-15 chambered for 5.56 by 45 millimeters. The first and second are distinguished by barrels manufactured by ORSIS, which, according to the company, significantly increase the accuracy and resource of Russian-made rifles."

In Soviet Russia gun controls you

Soviets will return, and very probably will finally mix races. But in present time AR-15 is not a first replica of western firearms.

    Two years ago a Kel-Tec SUB-2000
was successfully replicated here with АСК-17-9 (9х19 mm). Very beautiful that device fitted under to a strict russian firearms legislation. In addition the low cost (800$) production afforded country-wide sale.

I suppose this first success forced production of an AR-15 replica in order to see what will come out.

A lot of Thompsons were obtained under Lend-Lease and have since (1945) been in stock. They sell it here fo $4700. Not many purchases I suppose.
Sure would love to own one of those here, but alas our government thinks the people shouldn't have them. They're wrong, of course. At $4700 I'd buy as many as I could!

At present, the total shot during the tests on the resource of the Russian analogue of the American rifle AR-15 (designated as M16 in the US Army) exceeded 17 thousand rounds with accuracy within the stated norm of 1.5-2 angular minutes at a distance of 300 meters.

The analogue of the AR-15 was tested in the “Russian” caliber of 7.62 by 39 millimeters. “The bullet of a cartridge is two times heavier than the bullet of an American automatic rifle cartridge 5.56, and, accordingly, has great energy at all distances of practical shooting. Weight and recoil parameters have not increased compared to the smaller caliber, ” - the Russian manufacturer said. (c) lentaru

I belive you mean 7.62 nagant

No, I meant 7.62×54RR, the ammo that goes in the Mosin-Nagant M91/30, M44, the Dragunov sniper rifle (including the Chinese NDM-86 variant), the Romanian PSL-54, the SVT-38 and SVT-40, etc. etc.

The 7.62×38mmR (also known as 7.62 mm Nagant and Cartridge, Type R) is an ammunition cartridge designed for use in the Russian Nagant M1895 revolver and a small number of experimental submachine guns such as the Tokarev 1927.

What point? 7.62 Nagant is not 7.62×54RR, 7.62 Nagant is revolver ammo...

In other words, I meant what I said, not what you mistakenly believe.

Lets see if i can hammer this through

You joked that if it should be a russian ar15, it should be in 7.62x54r

I then added that it should instead be in 7.62 nagant

its a joke. I don't know why you are tripping over yourself trying to explain things. We get it. I get it.

Unless you seriously think its no big deal to make an AR15 that can shoot 7.62x54r...
