How did you guys know the trigger is crappy? LOL

It’s like half the mating surfaces are made from chalkboard, the other half fingernails...
Because all of PSA's stuff comes like that. A little stone action and a quick polish and she will be good to go.

I bought the stainless trigger group recently and I swear it looked like a washboard. Nice once its cleaned up though.

Well, there are only a couple reasons for light strikes/FTF. Out of spec BCG, firing pin or trigger assembly.
    1. Is BCG going fully into battery? Head space?
    2. Check the primers for good indention.
    3. Check if firing pin protrudes out of the BCG enough.
    4. Check fire control group springs and movement.

ETA: Also check and make sure the firing pin retainer pin is in right. It could be in front of the first ridge on the firing pin, not allowing it to go fully forward

The first response to this thread was the answer.
Every symptom you mentioned is screaming that you installed the hammer spring backwards.

Pull it out, and make absolutely sure that is in right.

Compared the hammer spring to my other AR’s, looks like it’s installed the same way...?

    Update:
I think there was a burr in the bolt.

I took it all apart, was assembled correctly. Put it back together.

Cycled the charging handle a few dozen times, seemed to become slightly less gritty.

Took her to the range today, sighted in my optic on 4 targets then went back thru and hit each target again...was pretty much centered for every round.
