Can't remember if I've seen this or not. The trend with ARs seems towards tacticool Rambo rat-rods but does anyone make AR furniture that looses the pistol grip and makes it look more like a deer rifle? Well, besides the 'ranch hand"... just curious. I tried google but apparently used the wrong search tags.

Since I’ve been asking awkward questions all night, here goes.

Where do you get the idea there’s a ‘trend’ in the AR platform towards tactical furniture? That’s the entire purpose of the design as a firearm to compete for the military contract that it won.

I mean, you could look for some of those CA compliant featureless kits if your in to that.

    why? the deer won't care.

if you must, the Ares scr is the only ok option, but even the one with the built in cheek risers have too low of a comb to comfortably use 99% of picatinny compatible sights/optics, as the vast majority are designed to work on standard AR's

CA-compliant stocks are god awful, as it turns out, it's not so simple to turn a pistol grip into a monte carlo stock.

the AR stock system is designed the way it is for very good reason, and it works very well
