Let's see how long it takes to get here...

    any guesses?

I had my Dad order the AR kit today that I have been looking at for the last couple of months. A complete rifle kit was ordered sans lower receiver with a few options. I figure between the pile of stuff I already have on hand for this AR I can pick and choose what I want to use and either sell the remaining extra stuff or look for a really cheapy lower receiver and start a bargain builder for if/when I decide to go all out crazy on an extremely badass upper to go with my decked out lower.

    Options, options...

For this build I ordered a decently optioned lower priced complete kit from a company that rhyhmes with Smodel One (I have been told I am not allowed to use the true name)

Why did you go with the duplex hooded sight? Not starting anything, just curious.

Actually mostly because I liked the way it looked, I figure I don't plan on putting any optics on this so I will give this one a try, if I don't like it I can always put a regular one on it for a couple of dollars...

No Model 1 for me this time around... too much stuff available in stock at other places for me to bother waiting for them to get around to building and shipping it.

Not to mention that it was going to be $25 shipping and $54.20 in taxes whereas I am getting my order from BCM with no tax and $12.95 USPS Priority Mail (Not my 1st choice for shipping, but they require a sig so I guess that makes it a bit better)
