Most people would be surprised that a lot of them would be libertarians.

Sent from my EVO 4G LTE using Tapatalk

to a lot of so-called freedom loving patriotic tea party types, libertarians are just as bad as liberals.

We would like total freedom, not some watered down form of it. It's not something either the left or the right can handle.

i wonder if users would be banned if they said they were illegal immigrants?

those laws don't get enforced, either.

Thats a valid question. If you were to go down the questions of the 4473 (is that right) and look at all the different categories of denial are they kicking all of those folks off their forum?

being an smoker makes you ineligible under federal law to posses firearms. It is a firearm forum.

I cannot imagine they would NOT have that rule.

In addition to being a firearms forum, AR15.com is also a firearms manufacturer. I agree with TXI that I can't imagine them not putting this policy into place. It is a don't ask, don't tell thing on the forum but a federal crime if you sell a gun to someone who has posted that they are a smoker since they are ineligible to own them.

If a person says on a forum they are a smoker they are inelligible to own a firearm or if they state that on the background form?

What if a person quit a day ago? A week? A month?

Im not against their policy but not for it either as i dont understand it

My guess is they are just protecting themselves since the ATF has come out pretty strong on the subject of fun rights and legalized pot. I don't really agree with the ATF on the subject, but can understand the guys at AR15.com wanting to keep their 6 covered.

This is relevant to the marijuana topic, but not ARFCOM.

I was watching the local news last night and saw the Harris County DA on, speaking against the legalization of marijuana.

    She had this to say...

Harris County DA responds to Obama's comments on marijuana debate | khou.com Houston

So she acknowledges that illegal ganja deals gone wrong contribute to capital murder cases, so the correct course of action is to keep marijuana illegal, rather than sold legally in storefronts where the prices are set and people don't kill you if they feel cheated, but rather take it to courts?

    okay then...

Duh. Keeping alcohol illegal is what stopped all the bootlegger violence.
