    Asking for a friend.
What are you, er, what is your friend considering? Franklin Armory? I thought about buying and installing a binary trigger, but the $429 price tag sort of put a damper on that idea. I was thinking I had seen one in the $229 range, but couldn't find it again.

Okay found a $229 binary, but turns out to be for 10/22.

Considering what a transferable M16 cost Fostech's trigger is a bargain!

My ARs and my Sig 556 identify as double barrel shotguns. I think they only do that to stop Biden and his crew from attempting to take them away, load them on trains, and shipping them to furnaces for "re-education".

Pull then release triggers can be found on trap shotguns all over the country.
    Isn’t that the same thing?

The pull and release are each considered one function of the trigger, but even if our state considered it to be a two shots with one function of the trigger it would still be legal here. In Texas two round bursts are legal. Here a machine gun is defined as more than 2 rounds per trigger pull.

"Machine gun" means any firearm that is capable of shooting more than two shots automatically, without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger.
