About 95% of the people I know who are immigrants are hard workers and want most of what we do. Whereas, about 95% of the leaches on society I meet have been Americans for multiple generations.

I know it's only anecdotal, but I'm less concerned about Mexicans coming here than I am about Californians or others coming here.

I agree that most immigrants are hard working people. I am an immigrant myself. The problem is that most immigrants do not have a good understanding of the American form of govt. or history. They get here and they behave and vote the exact same way as they did in their home countries. Most do not bother to read, let alone understand, what the constitution is and they don't have any desire to do so. They watch CNN, NBC, MS-NBC, and the rest of the main stream media, and trust that what they hear is absolute truth. Of course, we see how all this gets translated to votes on election day. One of the statistics that I've seen is that 71% of the Hispanics and 73% od Asians voted for Obama (Asian Voters Send a Message to Republicans - Bloomberg).

polls are bs! Dont believe them!

You can call BS all you want on a poll but the ugly truth of reality is that if Hillary does run for President it is highly possible that she would win. The "hillary" types out number the "Ted Cruz" types, it personally makes me want to puke but it is reality.

I got a guy working for me that recently went through the steps to get his citizenship.

You wouldn't believe how much explaining it took for home to understand the government belongs to me(the people) and not the other way around.

I then went in to a rant about how power is granted to the government by the constitution and how the government doesn't actually have the authority to do half the crap it does and I'm pretty sure he got lost at that point.

He has lived in this country for over 25 yrs(legally) and still doesn't actually understand how out government works. He actually thought Obama could MAKE the house and senate pass anti-gun laws.

I would support the below in this order for 2016:

    Palin
    Rand Paul
    Allen West
    Benjamin Carson

Yo can feel free to mix and match'em for their VP also..No Rubio or Bush for me...

With the electoral college that way it is, it's almost a miracle a GOP presidential candidate can even be competitive anymore. With California, NY, NJ, and Illinois all but a lock D, the Democrat starts out with something like 40% of the electoral votes in the bag before he or she even lifts a finger. The only reason it can even be remotely competitive is that Texas is still red, and even then the GOP has to pretty much win every single toss-up state, just to have a prayer. If Texas ever turns, I don't think we'd see another GOP president in our or our children's lifetimes.

There are many reasons for this - can't beat Santa Claus, entitlement culture, media bias, etc. - all of which border on impossible to counter. I honestly don't know what can be done to change it. We may well be too far gone to get it back.

Thank you for the depressing thread.

    she's a moderate Democrat
By what standard? She's even more open about being a progressive (aka American communist) than the rest of her party. I'd hardly call that moderate.

What we need...is their liberal policies to continually be shown to fail.
You would think what happened to the USSR and what is currently happening to the economy of every European socialist democracy would be evidence enough... Apparently it isn't.
