I'm debating leaving the front porch light on this year. It'll be my first time setting up stuff for neighborhood kids. I had the rotten idea of giving out twizzlers, smarties and red hots to the kids that have boring costumes

We're fine with the waist high spooks and usually pretty generous.
When the 6' thugs show up with a 40lb sack, a cool reception ensues.

An advantage of living in a small, isolated neighborhood is that I have pretty good idea just how many trick or treaters I'll have and it's not very many. So, yes, I'll be handing out the same 7 oz Hershey bars I always do. If I can get the old-style wrappers with the separate paper and foil layers, I'll slide a crisp, new $2 bill into each one as a surprise. I really love Halloween. ;)

Live too far out of town to see any kids looking for candy.

In town they have decided to move Halloween to whichever day they see fit. Pisses me off immensely an if I still live there I would have a sign stating I would be handing out candy on the 31st to kids in costume.

Gated community so not much chance of getting many knocks. I joked about keeping a bucket of bolts near the door in case any show up. Hand them a handful and tell them to ask daddy for a tree house.

    Sent from Kate Beckinsale's closet.

    Gunz are icky.
    Not at the house.

The Mrs. and the Mini-Me go over to the churchhouse and do the T or T thing over there. I usually have to work.

We used to live on the main Halloween street in town. We would have literally a thousand kids show up at our house. To celebrate, we always had a big party with a full keg and food. You could come if you brought a bag of candy. Now where we live, we're lucky if we get one kid.

I keep two stacks, treats and tricks. Treats are the normal candy sugar based fodder. The other stack is foil wrapped chicken and beef bouillon cubes.

Anyone not in costume or old enough to have graduated HS gets the bouillon cubes.

I think it's fun giving out candy. Usually have one of those assortment bags, I somewhat base what type and amount of candy they get depending on their age, costume quality, and politeness.
