My thoughts are that if you like the Sig P226 but can't justify the expense, it could be an alternative. I don't own a P226, but it would be cool to try a side by side comparison. Just a quick look at pricing, it looked to be about $300 less than the P226.

Buds has them priced at $618. That's nuts! You can find police trade in P226s for less than $500. Do that instead.

I don't know if EZ99s are still around, but they were a decent P226 clone for under $300.

I agree with TheDan. I got my P229 used for 500 and it is sweet! There is also a nice P226 on here right now for sale that I would take! These look interesting, but would rather go Sig.

At that price I certainly wouldn't buy one on looks alone.

I certainly wasn't referring to its looks, but the Arex Rex Zero 1 is good to go.

I saw a pic of the alpha today.

Really nice beavertail and looks like they slimmed out the grip. Make a .22 conversion for a fair price and i'll bite. It has mags for $25 brand new.

I will admit that I am a Sig’ophile. But that aside, Sig, even with the P320 debacle, has really stood by their guns and made anything I have ever heard of as wrong, right.

Heck, even on the P320 issue I sent 4 in and got all but one back in less than 2 weeks!

I think he's staying away from the VP9 and staying with CZ. But yeah, I agree with you. I think the arex is fairly tried though, so I wouldn't decline one for the right price. But these days with the sales going on, for $200 more you can get a sig.
