    Why not allow all those that possess a CHL to carry? The more, the better.

    Simple, because a significant portion of the general public has their fears soothed by something as simple as this:
    The marshals have been chosen from a volunteer pool, all of whom possess concealed carry permits and have "passed a rigorous interview process, a complete psychological evaluation and a comprehensive firearms and emergency response training course,"

    They think that this will make it safer and thus acceptable. (Of course a lot of those are the same liberals that think we all ought to undergo that process before owning a gun.)
