If you are looking for a can of oorah, there's gonna be a pretty cool rural airshow in Hondo supporting the Commemorative Air Force. I'll be one of the aircraft giving free Young Eagles rides for ages 8-17. Here's the link.

This is going to be a good piston airplane airshow. Hondo is a small community and the access to the aircraft and pilots should be great. Here are a few of the performers.

Plan on being there with the kids, assuming the weather cooperates.

The event has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a future date. The field that was to be used for parking is just a mess and unusable. The Young Eagles Rally (rides for kids 8-17) will still take place at 9am.
