An armed robber broke into a Corpus Christi restaurant just after the establishment shut down for the night. Now police are looking for the criminal wanted in the crime.
Employees were inside the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on SPID shortly before 3 this morning. That's when the armed robbery happened.
"They were doing a close out and counting the money and they knocked on the door in the back and asked for the money and grabbed the money," said Corpus Christi Police Officer Raul Ramirez. "They didn't take it in a bag or anything. They just took in their hand."
Police report the robber got away with about $4,000. He entered the building armed with a hand gun. Two employees were inside the restaurant at the time of the robbery.
"The night manager was pretty shaken up," Officer Ramirez said. "I will try to get as much information of him. He's pretty shook up. There's another guy in there. He's pretty shook up too."
The suspect is described as a white man. Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. Police said he also had a black shirt wrapped around his face. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS.
