For Sale is a good condition 1891. All serial numbers match on stock, bolt, trigger guard, receiver, barrel. Very low serial number C09xx which I believe to indicate the rifle was from the first year of production 1892.
C series was for the carbine model however this does not have the typical front site protectors. Barrel is 23 inches, overall is 43 1/2 inches. Bolt is turned down and appears to have been made that way.
Wood has some dents/dings but is in overall very nice shape. Metal has some rusting but bluing is overall good. Crest has been ground off and there are no importation stampings.
It has been in the hands of one owner since the 80s and is offered for sale to highest offer. Currently I am working between Burnet and Taylor so will not always be handy to the computer. At worst I believe it will be 3 days before I would respond back.
Some interest in trades, single shot shotguns but cash preferred. The rifle belongs to a friend who does not have ( or use ) a computer.
