Ive had a 340pd for 10+ years. It's my most carried firearm. Sure you don't want to shoot 500 rd of 357mag in one session but that's not what it's made for. If you are recoil sensitive 38sp is very gentle.

I hear ya. I carry a 640-1 with the old fashioned 158g FBI load 38 +P loads. I can shoot a cylinder of hot 357 out of it but my old hands will feel it for a good week. I can manage quick follow up with it so it’s just a physical limitation. I just can’t imagine shooting anything lighter.

    Good luck with the sale.

It's not That bad. You aren't running 357 through it all day like a range toy. I had a AMT 380 back up that I thought was worse to shoot than my airweight with 357.

With those full wrap around Crimson Trace grips that cover the back side of the grip its honestly not even that bad with full house .357. with that said I mostly shot .38 standard pressure through it. It has been a fantastic carry gun and backup piece.
