    I think it is 2 separate things completely. The bi-annual meet and greet is wonderful, but typically help in Central Texas (luckily where I am at) but some don't want the expense of traveling that far. It could be 8-10 hours of drive time. Regional events would be smaller in scale, but perfect for other members to meet each other, share stories, guns and sling some lead downrange. Win, win! I, for one, say please don't discourage the regional meet ups / range days / lunches, but also still have the large state wide gatherings.
    Exactly my thinking. I don’t give two shits how it’s worded. Would cut down on travel time. Would probably be smaller groups.
