Back to the Site Private Messages says there are 32 messages but they don't show up

I've been away from the forum for quite a while. I notice that the page says that there are 32 private messages somewhere in my inbox but I can't see any of them, my inbox shows as empty. Also next to my username in the right side of the screen shows 1 notification in red, but I click on it and it takes me to an empty inbox. What's going on?

I'm having the same problem. Not as many messages but still. Anyone figure out a way to recover the mystery messages?

Did you empty deleted messages? Been a while but if I recall they count against your message total.

Are you allowed only so many messages?

Yea, if I recall correctly you are allowed a limited number of messages and sent messages count against that total.

Hmmm.........have to check that out. I've never heard of any such limitations (and I've been around here a while).

Delete the messages you sent that are in your outbox. Those count too.

I'm having the same issue, i've emptied all my folders- including the sent folder. It still says i have 81 messages =(.
