Does anyone here carry a back up weapon such as an ankle holster or just something in your back pocket? just in case.

Hello. Yes, not 24/7 but if "the spirit moves me" I sure do. Perhaps it is a holdover from before retiring from police service, I don't know. I usually carry the BUG in either a pocket holster or IWB.

    Best.

Kel-Tec PF-9 in a Uncle Mikes Pocket Holster. I picked up a Galco pocket holster at the Austin Gun (junk) Show on Sunday. I plan on using it in the future. I have a great ankle holster but have yet to try it.

I usually carry a lot of crap with me so i hardly have room to carry a backup. Im pretty confident in my guns performing near 100%... plus i have a mean throwing arm if they do decide to fail.

Rarely... if my plans made me feel the need for two weapons, I'd probably rethink my plans. :D

I truly, honestly believe ankle carry to be the worst, absolutely most useless method of carrying a gun in existence - but it looks cool in movies.

I carry a tremendous amount of crap in my front pockets, my CCW IWB, and if we're being brutally honest, my posterior is just too big to keep anything in my back pockets - so I don't carry a backup. If one of my front pockets were free I'd be strongly inclined to carry a pocket auto or j-frame revolver as a backup however.

A shoulder holster is an option, but seems like a ridiculous amount of trouble for a backup, besides - as I'm sure you're aware, it can get mighty hot here in TX :D

Bersa .380 in the right pocket. It's a natural and quick draw for the jus- in-case moment.

+1 on the ankle holster. Not very practical and would only be used as an absolutely last resort.

  10. My Seecamp goes with when others don't.
