    The sparks are caused by the load on the suspension created by the incredible amount of downforce created by the aerodynamics employed by design. At speed 150-200 mph there is enough aerodynamic downforce created that the cars could actually run inverted, like running on the ceiling, if there were such a track designed that way.

    What's with all the sparks coming out from under the cars?

    Due to their super low posture or...?

    (obviously, I know nothing about this racing stuff)

    Besides a low ride height the cars are full of fuel and air temps can be a factor as well until the tires increase in temp thus increasing their pressure slightly. Although that’s not a big deal in F1 since they pre warm the tires. I’d say a full load of fuel contributes most.
