I shot a Mossberg 500 for 20 years. Shot lots of birds with it. Went dove hunting with my BIL, and shot his Benelli. Could not afford that one, but I could afford a Beretta. Love to shoot that one. Likely 20K shells through that AL390, and still shoots great.

20 ga. SxS w/ 24" and full chokes. Works great on doves with #7.5 or #6, turkeys with #4, i have a bad shoulder and shorter length of pull, out of my 9 shotguns this one is the best fit and has less recoil. Interestingly Winchester makes a shell with a colored weighted wad that stays with the shot and allows you to practice more effectively, can't find them in 20 ga so far but im hoping... They are called "TrAAcker" shells. Good luck Ya'll, the "little grey jet fighter" season is fast approaching! :)
