I didn't know if this would go better under Ranges or Houston so I decided to put it here.
Bayou Rifles membership is currently closed. However, entry to the waiting list is open until September 30. If you're interested in being invited to become a member in mid-2014, you need to go to bayourifles.org and sign up now. You won't hear anything until next year or even 2015 if the number of lapsed memberships is low. However, now is the time to get on the list.
Bayou Rifles probably has too many rules for most folks; there are pages and pages of them. For example, it's a strictly NRA-style competitive shooting range so holster work is out of the question. However, if you've been wanting to use their facilities, this is the beginning of the process to get in.
This isn't a commercial announcement since I don't make any money from it and the club is a non-profit. I'm just posting this as a heads-up for Houston locals who may be interested.
