    Grayghost,

Sorry for the loss, do you know if this is listed by your police agency in NCIC?

Guns stay in NCIC forever unless the agency cannot make contact with the listed owner and then must remove the listing.

    Iver Johnson TP-22

Thank you for the kind word's, and concern for my loss. Yes, it is in
NCIC as entered by the Bessemer, Alabama PD. Unfortunately, there
have been NO hits on its S/N (AE23221) thus far. The perp could very
well have thrown the weapon into the bottom of a lake, river, or even
a stream; as there are many in this locale. He was caught driving my
wife's car five days later; and sentenced to 32 year's in a State Of
Alabama facility (see State Of Alabama, Department Of Corrections
Website) click "inmate search" AIS #175007- Roderick Armstrong.

I can tell you that I have recovered guns from all over and the oldest one was reported in 1976 from Topeka Kansas and the complainant was still around, Topkea PD was able to locate her and I returned the gun.

You just never know when it might turn up. Your thoughts of it being ditched are a distinct possibility.
