    Why wouldn't I?
    Sure would suck for someone to break in to the furthest part from the bedroom while we're asleep, then just open the door to the house.
    We have a deadbolt on the door from the garage into the house. Sames as the front and back doors. I am not really worried about someone sitting on the street and stealing my garage door code. Strangers tend to stand out.

    We are just fortunate not to have any crime in the neighborhood (none since we lived here).

    I read too quickly, you are correct. I initially interpreted it as a deadbolt on his garage door. Oops.

    Agreed,

    Latched only simply doesn't cut it. There's a Ripcord bypass tool out there specifically made to unlatch garage doors.
