Well the 40 year old Craftsman vise finally snapped.
Been researching for the best bang for an affordable vise and
    settled for a Doyle vise.
It's rated at 60,000 psi strength
made with Doctile iron. Versus plain. Cast iron.
Everything on this is tight, works smoothly and very few if any tooling marks. Highly recommended and that's not something I do very often.
Yeah guess who sells it? Yep HF
4.5" jaws about 40# weight comes in at $129
if you're in the need Google it up.

Well, are you going to fess up to what snapped the old vise?

I didn't see any project farm or fireball tool review of Doyle but it at least looks nice enough and a few months ago don't remember seeing that brand name at HF. I'm sure its more than adequate for the home shop!

I don't think it's actually a HF tool when Google it's a family company and they say they are made in the USA. The box however says China in small print. Maybe Doyle's let HF use their patent for a large sum of money
    ???.

The old vise broke in half through the main body. It was just small table top but worked as needed it was just never big enough for large work. I had a 6" bullet style Wilton but a moving company Walked off with that one and a few other items long ago. Never collected on anything from that.
