Rocked one of these with a red dot today, and man is it weird shooting a semi-auto shotgun. Get so pre-conditioned to pump actions that you feel awkward when you don't have to cycle it.

Recoil is a bit less kick than a standard Mossberg 500 or Remington 870, but it still reminds you that you are shooting 2-3/4" Slugs.

How did you like the red dot? I had considered getting one, but without any opinions, I didn't want to waste my money. Is it better than open sights? If so, do you think it's worth it?

This was a very large objective sight so I liked it alot. You had ample vision and the red dot helps with a shotgun, even one with good sights to begin with (ghost ring).
