I am trying to decide on a .22 handgun for a suppressor, and wanted to get your opinions on what gun would be best? What gun do you have, or would buy, and why? Thanks for the help guys.

I got a Ruger Mk III TALO edition. Came with a threaded barrel, thread protector and flash hider.

Wish it had iron sights but that wasn't a deal breaker.

Walther P22, Ruger Lite, or Sig Mosquito.... All three have been fun for me. I shoot the sig most, because thats what i carry!

Ruger MK3, 22/45, Buckmark and Mosquito are good too.P22 is a little too small for me.

GSG 1911 threaded 22lr pistol. I'd forgotten about that one.

    S&W M&P22 as well.

    There's even a glock clone.

So what other guns do you have? May be good to get a 22lr with the same type of functions etc.

My Browning Buckmark with a TacSol threaded barrel has been great with my AAC Pilot suppressor. Runs just fine on subsonic ammo also. I am hankering for a Ruger 22/45 Lite and a Walther P22 too, though.

The ruger 22-45 with factory threaded barrel is half the price of a buckmark and aftermarket barrel. I think it's also a better gun.

Any of the Ruger Mark series pistols. Since the barrel is stationary, it is much less complicated for the suppressor. In addition, most come with an optics rail that allows a red dot to added to aim above the can. I do not have any experience with the Buckmarks.
My favorite is a Mark III that has a 5 inch barrel that was factory threaded with a flash hider which was easily removed and replaced. Burris has a conformal mounting kit for the Fastfire red dots.
Neither the sight or the barrel move when shot, which is good for accuracy, and easy on the sights....

I currently have a browning buckmark, but I want to get another .22 pistol anyways. Has anyone used the Ruger sr-22 with the factory threaded barrel?
