When I got into lever actions, I lusted over a Marlin 39a since all my other levers are Marlins. I never found a good deal on one though and bought a Henry H001. It has taken over my 10/22 for a favorite .22. My only gripe about is the sights. It shoots high even at the lowest notch, but I've gotten use to them. Other wise is a very smooth and accurate little rifle. I can smack a 15 pound propane tank out past 200 yards pretty consitently at a relatively fast pace off hand. Good enough for a pinker for me. Also have about 2500 rounds through it so far without cleaning it and it still cycles perfectly.

    What s everyone's favorite .22 rifle?
If I only could find one of those old Colt .22LR carbines. Mine didn’t have the machine engraving. see: https://www.gunsamerica.com/UserImages/3784/917349034/wm_7110559.jpg

I have the big loop version and like it a ton.

As much as I enjoy my 10/22, I have to say the Winchster 74 is my favorite .22 rifle. Semi auto, tubular magazine, and accurate as hell. It's the model I shot when I was a kid, and was stolen from my dad in 2013 with the rest of his guns. Some criminal piece of shit has that rifle now.

My H001 also shot high. Never found out why. It was traded off.

My favorite, was my father’s, now mine, Remington 550-1 17 shot tubular magazine(LR). Will shoot shorts, longs, and long rifle mixed loaded. It has an old Weaver post and crosshair 4x scope.

Accurate as hell. I routinely took quail at seventy plus yards off a fence post rest at 10yo.
