My favorite has to be the Marlin Model 39A I bought for my daughter when she was born many years ago. What a great rifle, classic lines, smooth as silk action and just beautiful to look at. I think the best lever action .22 ever made. But that's just my opinion and worth, well, not much.

For what purpose? 10/22 for plinking and killing rats. S&W AR 15-22 for training when 5.56 isn't really necessary for a particular training scenario (CQB drills, footwork, and such)

Always wanted one of those Nylon 66’s. Decided to buy one a few years ago. Went to a gun show and they were $650-800. I passed. Bought a Remington pump from 1928 instead.

Those rifles deserve to be out in the field or on the range, being used. I own the nicest example I've ever seen but it will never become a mere "collector's item."

Mine is a sept. 1958 Seneca green version. Hard to get the true muddy green color in a photograph.
