I'll say the same as in the other thread... Just add more screws? Yeah that'll apply more clamping force, but I'm skeptical. Kind of a clunky option, too.
Not many other options out there for an AK that aren't clunky or at least require practically a chin weld. Not to mention this is the only option for co-witnessing.

People seem to like the Ultimak, but I've never used one. There are a couple low profile side mounts out there like the one itchin posted, but you're right that most of the side mounts sit up too high.
