I've been looking around for a thread on cheap ammo, but all the recommendations are in the outer edges of the Metroplex, so any difference in price is going to get eaten up by fuel. Does anyone know where to go for the best ammo prices in the Midcities area?

There is a walmart on Jim Miller and Buckner that has prices 2-3.00 below prices at other Walmart. At least it does with some pistol calibers.

If cheap is your main concern, Academy and WalMart are the best bet. Now and again, Cabela's has some good sale prices. I've never (rarely) seen good pricing at "guns shops" I've been buying on-line when I can find good pricing and free or cheap shipping.

Midcities applies to those small towns between Fort Worth and Dallas.
Go from one to another without realizing it.
Mostly on the north end, Hurst, Bedford, Euless are those refered to most.
But also included are Keller, Watauga, Southlake, Grapevine, Haltom City, and North Richland Hills.
Arlington and Grand Prarrie might be mentioned but not usually.
