Best Buy car electronics install question

Anyone use the Best Buy in Georgetown for car electronics installs ?

Looking to add a remote start to my 2000 land cruiser and they have 2 good deals

Both under 300 one viper and one compustar. I am concerned with a hack chopping up my wire harnesses lol.

Any "commercial" installers usually do decent jobs.. Those kits aren't that difficult either I think bubba can handle it

Big box stores aren't known for paying a whole bunch of money for specialists. If you're worried about a hack job, find a small independent shop where the owner is doing, or involved in the quality of the install.

Check the t4r or ih8tmud forums. Ask there. I have found that whenever I need something done on my 4runner, usually someone there has already done it and has posted a how-to in the forums, or someone local is willing to meet up with me and do the labor for pizza and beer.

Ya I am a long time member of ih8mud. And a remote start on the 2K land cruisers is one of the few things with not much info on it.

If it's anything more complicated than the most primitive stereo or aftermarket remote power locks, I wouldn't trust BestBuy with it.
