ya I know its weak sauce

Purchased a referb i8 i phone on Sat 23rd of Oct. It has a 14 day return due to being a cell phone.

everyone I called with it said my voice would bust up crackle and be full of static

So today 11/6 I drove back to BB to return it and purchase a Pixel 6.

Get to the store they say its out of the return last day to return it was the 22nd.

I asked how many days are there in a week. I purchased it 2 Saturdays ago. So that is 14 days.

They said no the day you buy it is counted as day 1. I said well It was purchased after 3pm on Sat and its 10 Am now so it still under 14 days. The manager said excuse me sir you are incorrect all we can do is give you a store credit.

I said fine apply it to the pixle 6 I purchased for instore pick up. Manager said she cant do that its already paid for. I said fine then return the pixle 6 I am picking up and re check me out using the credit she got a sour puss face and told the cashier fine just do that.

If I am correct that by BB you mean Best Buy, all I can say is what did you expect from Worst Buy. I hate that chain with a passion and do not shop there unless I need it now and they are the only place that has whatever it is I need now. Worst electronics store ever in my view.

Best Buy hires incredible idiots, teaches them nothing more than to stand there doing what they do, nothing.
    So I don't go there.
Bought a TV on Amazon and it came from BB. Took 5 days longer than Amazon. Now I read Amazon ads closer.
    What keeps them open?

I buy from Best Buy now and then (last time only because I had $100 Best Buy gift card, and purchased online), but I'd never buy a refurb from them or anything open box.

They have some deals sometimes but I personally wouldn’t buy a refurbished anything. I would have considered a Saturday to Friday as a 7 day period but that’s me. Sorry you had a bad experience.

I've been buying occasionally from BB over the last 3 years, and with my usual run of luck, every single thing even in factory sealed boxes has been defective. Maybe I'll learn someday.

Man, ya'll have some shit luck. Seems like a lot of the problem is people expect old world service. BestBuy is just the place to pick up what you wanted after YOU research and watch review videos. Become an informed shopper and go buy what you want. If you wander in expecting someone to know everything about every product, your fooling yourself.

Here's a tip. If a place doesn't pay a commission to the sales staff, they probably don't know anything.

I have over the years purchased tons of stuff from Best Buy returned stuff and usually its painless.

ya for the most part I go in knowing what I want and with Covid and drive up and pick things up its been great.

First place I hit up is the open box section and always ask for more off than its listed at. I have gotten some great items that way at stupid low prices.

The managers attitude just hit me the wrong way. And I was dumbfounded that 14 days is under 2 weeks lol.

BTW the I8 was purchased online and drive up pick up.

I think it was 2012 Best Buy had a sale on the Dysons. I did not see the part of the ad which said "online purchase for store pickup only. Since it was $200 off their regular price ($499) and the only way to get the discount was to order it online.

So my friend and I go out to their car. I was using her phone to find a library to use the internet. After about 15 minutes, I realized if I could find a library using the phone I could order the vacuum cleaner over her phone. Five minutes later the order was complete. It was a pain but $200 is $200!

Funny though, I went to Ammo To Go (outside of Brenham at the time) and did not realize they were primarily online. They explained that BUT they had a desktop computer for customers who just stopped in (like I did). I did my order and paid. The brought out the ammunition. They were courteous, helpful, and great! Best Buy could learn from that.

Why don't they resurrect the company sales by changing the store to "Breast Buy" and have girls with a nice rack greet you and help with sales?
If their any of their execs are members here, I want a 5% slice of the profits for the idea.
    You're welcome...

Sounds like changing a doc appt last-minute.

“Sorry, we have a 24 hour policy and we will charge you to cancel.“

“Fine, move my appointment to next week.”

Then I just call back and cancel the appointment I just moved

Generally I don’t have issues with Best Buy. I don’t recall ever returning anything…except it was a return and repurchase to honor the proper deal that the store didn’t do right. It was 50% off on a pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones ($499) and had points and a gift card from credit card points. In the end it was 500 dollar set of head phones for nothing out of pocket. I tend to work the open box deals…I have them call the manager over to see if I can get a better price. I did that on a $1500 laptop that was a demo/open box. I7 processor, 32GB memory, SSD and 1TB hard drive. Separate graphics card, touchscreen, and you can flip the screen around to act as a big tablet.. It was essentially a ASUS gaming laptop. They had it marked at $1000. I got it for about $900 after taxes with a 3 year extended warranty.

Last purchase from them was six years ago. It was a dishwasher. I’d already done my research and decided what I wanted, and BB was the best price at the time. Never had a problem with open box deals. I currently have a set of Polk bookshelf speakers and a powered sub woofer, with a Sony receiver that were open box specials and never had an issue with them

I have no problem with BestBuy. Just make sure I know what I want before I go in and don’t expect anyone that works there to help.

I did get a $70 universal remote for $20 because it was stocked in the wrong spot once. I was about to put it back when it rang up but the guy went and looked at it’s location and said he’d honor the price.

We actually just got one of our highest-end product lines into BB Magnolia stores LOL

For better or worse, Best Buy is a leader in retail electronics and appliance sales.

I bought a TV there because ours had failed. I was going to wait until Black Friday, but was a month away. I picked it up and used it for a month. When Black Friday rolled around, I took the receipt back and received a $600.00 refund on a price match with a different store. No issue here.
