There's a lot of guns on the market these days and it's hard to narrow it down to a single gun. This may actually end up adding more guns to the list for options. Currently my thoughts are Sig P226 Legion SAO, CZ 75 tactical, or Walther PPQ M2 Navy or the Q4 Tac. I'd also consider the FNX 45 Tactical, though ideally I'd prefer a 9mm. Also considered the FN 509.

I have the PPQ M2 Navy, bought it maybe 18 months ago.
It has been my favorite range gun ever since.

    Works great with my Osprey.
It actually comes with 2 springs, one is specifically used with a suppressor.

ETA: For .40 and .45 I have HK USP Tacticals.

    Canik has a suppressor-ready host (TP9SFT), and it's a good one. Yes, I have one. https://www.ammoland.com/2018/03/canik-tp9sft-suppressor-ready-pistol-shipping/#axzz5fu3Iuci7

I've also got an HK VP9 set up with a threaded barrel and Heinie tall sights. It's a very sweet setup. I've got an HK USP9 setup too, and that is solid.

All three of those pistols have the 13.5x1 LH threading and use a B&T USA "HK" marked 9mm suppressor and function perfectly.

Love my Sig P 226 forty cal. Been lugging it around both exposed and hid for 20 Years at least. Never acted ugly. Sure the same gun in 9 mm be nearly as good. lol. Maybe a bit better on quick double taps since it prob dont jump as much. There ya go.

Thinks anyone of those suit your purposes. I have the P226 Navy Mk 25 and a Wather PPQ M2 model, Just picked up my first CZ 75 and a FN 45 Tactical. You need to come up with a list of what you want in a pistol i.e. caliber, round count of magazine and other features then compare you list to the pistols on your short list. I have a regular Canik and a Canik TP-9 SFT. I would give those a look too. The Canick magazine can hold 20 rounds so you can have a pretty good ammo supply with one in the pistol and 2 in a magazine holster on the belt.

As far as a 9 suppressor host, P226 is going to be one of the top contenders. I'm not really an HK pistol guy, but DA/SA HKs are up there as well.

With regards to the FNX, they really aren't good suppressor hosts. They're good hosts for "put everything on a pistol" but a P220 or HK45 will sound significantly better if we're talking about just suppressor hosts.

The pistol I get will pretty much only live as a suppressor host.

Any reason in particular the P226 works so well as a host compared to others?

    Sig 226 or Glock.

Who is using B&T can (non Dealer sample) on their guns? I have not seen any available yet.
I bought mine at Arms Unlimited. It is marked "HK", but it's manufactured by B&T USA. I have put several hundred rounds through mine on the three hosts I mentioned earlier in this thread. https://www.armsunlimited.com/Heckler-Koch-Thread-On-9mm-Sound-Suppressor-p/988113hk.htm

I wanted something that would be set up in 13.5x1LH and left that way for those three hosts. I also have factory threaded barrels for my P226 and P228, but I generally don't shoot those suppressed. I leave my other 9mm suppressors set up for 1/2x28.

I like the fact that you can "clock" the booster to get the least shift for any particular pistol. Here's a couple more pics . . .

What do you shoot now? I'd stick with the same platform.
My primary use pistol is a Walther PPQ in .40 S&W. this would be my first purchase for a suppressor and host. I originally was just going to get a ppq Navy in 9mm and then started looking into what other people use, so I thought I'd ask on here

I got a P226 SAO Legion. I'll be ordering the threaded barrel next month, and also picking up a Walther PPQ M2 Navy. Next is finding a good can to go with both.
