Both those indoor ranges are a bit pricey for me. I'm a member of the Central Texas Rifle & Pistol Club, range is out near China Spring.

I went there a couple times a while back for their pistol competitions. Never competed, but looked like a nice range.

Not Webers, unless they have made huge improvements.

Hicksville, South Mountain (near Gatesville). An easy drive.

Webbers and Hicksville are my regular spots. Webbers is OK. Has 25/100yd rifle and pistol range. Biggest downside is the parking lot is a 1/4 mile or longer away so access to your vehicle is limited.
That's where Hicksville shines. I can take a load of guns and swap them out at the truck 15 ft away. They have a 200/100/25 rifle and a lot of steel targets on the pistol range.

There's another one in Gatesville that has steel out to 600yds called one in the chamber. It looks promising.

Did Hicksville ever improve on their safety issues of the past?

Used to suffer a severe lack of maintenance and there was an area where you could sit on the rifle range and see the heads of people walking down to put up targets in the Tac bay right next to it.

Separating berms were fine the last time I was there.

At one time, Axtell had a gun range behind the BBQ place on 84. Not sure if they're still open.

I hope so....the people who owned it are good folks, and the food was great.

Go out China Spring Highway to Chandlers. I like that place. When I shoot in Waco that's where I shoot.
