Best/Most Competent 1911 Gunsmith/Armorer

I'm looking for the best/most competent 1911 gunsmith in San Antonio. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm also interested in gunsmith information in the SA area as I'm trying to find someone who can put a bobtail on my Colt Defender (shorter grip than the Govt model). I know Kimber makes the Super Carry with a bobtail on their shorter grip but not sure where to get the proper mainspring housing for the shorter grip like you can for a full size. Any info on who can do this mod to a Defender/Officer's model would be grealy appreciated.

For the one looking for a Bobtail 1911.

I had my Dan Wesson PM-7 10mm done at "Nagle gun shop" off of san pedro and i paid $175 all said and done.

They did an amazing job and blended the factory grips perfectly. I could not be happier.

He Bobbed the backend of the grip. He provided before and after pictures.

Bobtails are good for carry, since you're usually going to carry something like a 1911 in a canted holster. It reduces both snagging and printing.

Dunno if that's a good price or not, but it looks SWEET. Looks like it could have come from the factory that way.
