Better off to carry with none in the chamber than not at all?

I understand the vast benefits of carrying with one in the chamber and drawbacks to carrying with an empty chamber.

I understand the internal safeties that guns have and what a proper holster looks like.

Say you have a friend/family member though, that just will not carry with one in the chamber, overall, generally speaking, all things being equal, are they better off not carrying at all or carrying with no round in the chamber and training to chamber a round as needed?

* This isn't about what method is better, I acknowledged which is better. This is about carrying with no round chambered vs not carrying at all.

i have carried one in the chamber since the day I first carried. Just a personal preference. And as some have said, better to carry, even w/o one in chamber than not at all.

I always carry Condition One. An empty chamber is similar to a generator with no fuel.

Perhaps, if you (whoever you maybe) can't safely handle a cartridge in the chamber while carrying, then yes, carry a hammer or even...maybe, a good ole tomahawk is more yer style...

I prefer to carry condition zero= like dead man's switch. Keep trigger pulled at all times while keeping hammer back with thumb and you are ready Freddy. That being said, you do get very good at doing small drywall repairs.

At best they can only get a license for one gun and 50 rounds of ammo. This may have changed but that's not a lot when people are trying to kill you. Forget about practice.
