On a side note, what happened to our Gov today?

    Gov. Zoolander took a spill:

Gov. Rick Perry, his right arm in a navy blue sling, spoke to reporters this morning about how he arrived at "one less wing."
He broke his collar bone and scraped his elbow in a fall while mountain biking with his security team on Tuesday evening.
He said he was on a familiar bike trail, but "things shift after a rain." He was heading down a hill, but before he knew it, he was heading over the handle bars.
"It would have been a great-looking video," Perry said. He came down on the back side of his right shoulder and snapped the collar bone. He said as soon as he reached to touch his shoulder he thought, "Hmmm. That's not good."
He said he walked the bike - unharmed - up the hill and back home, and from there to the hospital.
Several years ago the fitness enthusiast broke a rib in another biking accident. And he remembered that he'd broken another rib during a jogging mishap. He said, all things considered, he prefers the broken shoulder.
The governor spoke at the Law Enforcement Achievement Awards, given to peace officers who showed outstanding valor last year. He gave a special shout out to those officers who do bike patrols: "It's a dangerous way to make a living," he quipped.

I whole-heartedly agree. You want the same rights to the roads, you need to live by the same fricking rules!

I say that as a road cyclist myself.

Too bad when I was on my way to McBride's the other day that was one of those inconsiderate F*ckers that was out smearing our name...

So I have taken to the roads in my spandex and i have hit up several two lane roads, not to be an ass and prove everyone on this forum right, but actually to do quite the opposite, that cars and bikes can co-mingle... I love this little two lane road in Georgetown because it provides the nice balance of hills and shade, but I also hug the side so that cars that would like to pass often do... I have a mirror on my handlebars and in only one instance was there a car patiently keeping its distance... as soon as the car in the oncoming lane passed the car behind me moved on... maybe a one minute delay but I doubt if it was that bad... maybe the delay that a person would get from waiting on a slow person to turn into a sidestreet... plan on going on another ride here in a little bit

The Ft. Worth Star Telegram reported that Gov. Perry vetoed several bills including the bicycle one. The socialist libtards held up good bills in their
stupid battling photo IDs to vote.
    Sic 'em Perry !

He should've vetoed it... it was bogus... cops should just start ticketed the bastard cyclist that are on the roads and the idiots that harass cyclists from their cards... it's a two way street... no pun intended...
