13.45 miles. Hit 23 down a hill sucked on the way back up!

Bought a road/mountain hybrid bike on Friday. Bought it new( one year free tune ups from Galaxy Bicycles in San Marcos, Texas) Giant “Roam” XL frame.
My goal was to do 75+ miles a week.
I’ll get there, but not this week, lol.

Have to take it in for new bike tune up next week and I was hoping to get a bunch of miles on it to break some stuff in. Total miles since Friday afternoon, 15, ha.
I’ll get there. Just won’t be as quick as I thought.

I've been riding for many years, but upright bikes started really killing my back. I ended up buying a recumbent bike and trike and love them. The only real drawback is that they aren't allowed in races, only charity or exhibition types of rides.

A buddy of mine just did a bicycle camping trip for a few days out there. It looked awesome

I really want to do this with my biking buddies, but have no idea where we'd go. Since I ride a recumbent, I'm limited to the type of paths we can take so we'd have to stick to roads. I'd love to ride around Palo Duro in NW Texas.

Yeah, not sure how a bent would do off piste...

I’ve been getting ready for old fart baseball by taking BP, and fouled a ball off my shin. It’s all swollen and tender.

I was supposed to have a bike ride with a cute nurse tomorrow. Not sure I can ride with my leg like it is.

You're gonna need a better excuse than that.

Well, it looks like hell. But she’s really cute, so I’m gonna wrap it, take a pain pill, and act like nothing is wrong.

Lot’s of traffic on the trails today. I’ve got a new pet peeve. Folks that have dogs on retractable leashes. Y’all suck! Quit letting your dogs wander across the trail. I’m gonna hit one eventually.

They do make some recumbent trikes called Fat Tads that do well and are designed for offroading. But they're wider too so that makes it difficult if you're running narrow trails. Not sure I'd trust myself on a two-wheel recumbent even if it was designed for offraod. Haha
