No ride yesterday. Would like to say it was because I was giving my legs a break after an almost 150 mile week, but truth is it was 41 degrees and I said screw it.
went to the Omaha Zoo and walked 5 + miles. Pretty awesome zoo.
Did a ride this morning though.

One of my riding buddies, he's 74 I believe, bought a used bike with the skinny tires. He said it's wasn't a workout today, easy pedaling. It was a workout for me just to keep up. Probably shaved 10 minutes of riding time, got my 9+ miles.

We bought new "Townie" bikes as we are both disabled w/ arthritis and were having troubles lifting the old bikes into the pickup or onto the Jeep rack.

Townies are very light Aluminum frames, 7-speed simplified gears, come with fenders & lights.

I'm 78 and am down to riding about 35 miles/week, but it does keep muscles toned and joints working.

    No "mountains" around here, anyway. . . . .
