hello all, well i get my daughter this weekend and was thinking of taking her someplace a little off the beaten path. heard about this place and thought she might like it. She is 8 and suffers from overactive behavior problems.. (thanks to the mom,,etc,, ) I try to make a positive impact on her as much as i can when she is with me. This will be a one day trip and we will be there from 1pm till 7ish that night.
    Questions
    Has anyone been?
What can i see in just the 5 or 6 hours im there?
Any ideas on what an 8 year old girl would like to do?
    What should i skip?
    Good places to Eat?

    thanks all

I have never been, but if memory serves from when I visited their website a while back (which you should do now), most of their organized weekend activities, like Park Ranger tours for kids, occur during the morning hours.

You also might want to consider Brazos Bend State Park. I am sure you can get needed info from their website, also.
