    I should have stopped reading after this:

    TM was not a "stand your ground case, so the author of this article obviously has now clue what he is talking about.

    The reference to the mans ammunition being a "cache" also leads me to believe it's nothing more than a liberal garbage article.

    I was going to go back and search the case to see what his reason for drawing the weapon was, but no ok get see the point.

    So OP, if he WAS getting assaulted in his own home, what other options should he have exhausted before using force to stop the attack?
