I need a pair of boots. Lace up, chemical resistant and water resistant, with a steel or carbon fiber toe, and wears similar to a tennis shoe, or super comfy. What's out there, what do you like, and why?

RedWings for me. USA made ones if that matters. Hate the laces though.

I wear a "Worx" brand boot. Its a box toe and I love it. Pretty durable, and my toes aren't cramped. I have back issues so Ai had to get inserts. I'll buy this boot again for sure. I got it off the redwing truck. About $140 if I recall correctly.

Red Wing & Wolverine steel toe boots, are the two brands I can wear all day and not have my feet hurting at the end of the day. Just my $.02.

I don't wear them daily but if I'm running a linear accelerator install I wear Dr Marten Airwairs. Comfortable and can be worn all day while reliving my youthful punk days.

I bought a pair because they fit my requirements. Steel toe, rubber sole, western style boot with a texas flag shank. Figured it was a gimmick, but I've got about 6 months on this pair, and they're showing no signs of failure. they stand up well to oil field work...no ripped leather, really no scratches...and I work them pretty hard. I've grown so fond of them, that I wear them instead of my double H cowboy boots almost all the time. Very comfortable, easy on my feet which translates straight up my back. i attached a pic of the boots...look pretty good for 6 months of me wearing them daily... 2014-01-28 14.51.17.jpg

I thought only Durango made those with the flag. Good to know there is another option.

If they can hold up in oil field, they can hold up anywhere

I had a pair of Justins that couldn't go a year before the soles went bad. I paid good money for those damn things, and they let me down way to soon. I got pair of Ariats, that are doing pretty good after about year
