I saw the new series of Border Wars last night where they show what happens to all the confiscated firearms they take in. Though they didn't say it specifically, I got the impression they are still touting the old 90% thing from U.S. retailers. Most of the guns I saw were regular type rifles and shotguns. They did show 3 AK 47's confiscated last year in Nogales and made a big deal of it. They also showed a gold plated Desert Eagle. The funny part I noticed was when they showed the crushed parts after they went through the machine and there was a "blue Glock" they broke up. Wonder who they think might get shot with that??? From all the posturing and security those folks were showing you would think they hadn't heard of Fast and Furious.
They also busted a guy with a pistol under his truck seat and a .50 cal Barrett in his back seat. Since when is that illegal in Texas? Of course the claim was that the guns would soon be going to Mexico. Proof??????
To say the least, I wasn't impressed with their performance.
